About Taylor True Value Rental
Taylor True Value Rental has been at its current location on East Mitchell in Petoskey, Michigan since 1989, but has been in Petoskey for over 40 years! Since 1996 the same family has owned and operated the business, and will continue to do so for generations to come! Taylor True Value Rental’s staff has big city experience with small town charm and service.
Taylor True Value Rental is committed to our customers, employees and community. We have had a customer base that has been with us since the beginning. Contractors, caterers, event planners and homeowners know they will be given the right advice about rental items so they can make informed decisions in relation to their event or project.
Our employees are treated fairly and are shown appreciation. We are committed to the success of each of our employees. Continuing education and training are a priority. Each new season brings new employees but the core group has been consistent for over 15 years. Our commitment to our employees results in our customers having access to Certified Event Rental Professionals (CERP).
Taylor True Value Rental is involved with the community. We have sponsored 4-H members, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and our employees routinely donate blood to the Red Cross. Adopting a family during the holidays has been one of the pleasures of being a locally owned and operated business. We live here, raise our families here, and do our part to make Northern Michigan a place to call home.
Taylor True Value Rental is also concerned about the environment. In December of 2011, we started working with Emmet County Recycling, and have reduced our trash drastically. We have been recycling all of our cardboard, tons of paper, plastic containers and plastic bags, along with newspapers, magazines and all our junk mail. It has made such a difference around here! All of our employees have noticed our huge dumpster not filling up on trash day due to the efforts of our recycling.
Rental companies are predominantly made of up men. Our store is no exception; most of our employees are male. However, the women that we have on staff are incredibly strong and intelligent people. There is a notion in male dominated industries that women cannot possibly know as much as their male counterparts and perhaps are not taken as seriously. We, the women of Taylor True Value Rental, do rely on our male co-workers in many situations; however they rely on us just as much. Together, we make up a staff full of knowledge, and experiences that would not be as complete if it were only men in the industry. We all work together to make our business successful.
